How can i convince my parents to let me get a belly button peircing?

I asked my mom if I could get a second ear peircing and she gave me a big lecture saying that's what "punks" do.. Now I REALLY want a belly button peircing, but I'm so scared to get my parents' approval if they think a second ear peircing is really that bad! any help please??
