Why do people consider Marino an all time great?
Sure, he could light it up during the regular season, but choked miserably in the playoffs. Don't give me that "no team around him" stuff, either. He had pro bowl talent and a HoF coach for most of his career. He just stunk it up in the playoffs. Shouldn't greatness consist of both statistical criteria and clutch criteria? How you perform when the pressure is on. Willing your team to win and all that. He had great mechanics, but didn't have heart. I mean, only one AFC title in 17 years? C'mon man...I'll give him top 10...maybe, but nothing more.
