Would WCW have lasted if it weren't bought by the WWF?

Sorry if my information is incorrect but from what I've heard WCW was in pretty bad shape when it was bought out by Vince McMahon, so if it weren't bought by WWF do you think it would have lasted until now ? Do you think it would've bought out WWF ?
